Jurisdiction of the Court of Appealimage

             The Court of Appeal has jurisdiction over the cases which are not in jurisdiction of the Court of Appeal Region I – IX. Meanwhile, cases outside jurisdiction of the Court of Appeal, depending on the Court of Appeal discretion, may be accepted in the Court of Appeal or transferred to Regional Appeal Courts by virtue of the Law for the Organization of Courts of Justice B.E. 2543 section 21.

            There are 20 courts of first instance being in jurisdiction of the Court of Appeal, namely:

  1. The Civil Court
  2. The Criminal Court
  3. Thon Buri Civil Court
  4. Thon Buri Criminal Court
  5. Bangkok South Criminal Court
  6. Bangkok South Civil Court
  7. Minburi Criminal Court
  8. Minburi Civil Court
  9. Taling Chan Criminal Court
  10. Taling Chan Civil Court
  11. Phrakhanong Criminal Court
  12. Phrakhanong Civil Court
  13. Bangkok North Kwaeng Court (Bangkok North Municipal Court)
  14. Bangkok South Municipal Court
  15. Thonburi Kwaeng Court (Thonburi Municipal Court)
  16. Dusit Kwaeng Court (Dusit Municipal Court)
  17. The Pathumwan Municipal Court (Pathumwan Municipal Court)
  18. Don Mueang Kwaeng Court (Don Mueang Municipal Court)
  19. Bang Bon Kweang Court (Bang Bon Municipal Court)
  20. The Central Criminal Court for Corruption and Misconduct Cases
    (Central Criminal Court for Corruption and Misconduct Cases)

             Moreover, the Court of Appeal has jurisdiction over an appeal against judgments of narcotics cases and human trafficking cases from the cases over the country according to the Narcotic Cases Procedure Act B.E. 2550 and the Anti - Human Trafficking Procedure Act B.E. 2559.
